Summer things

with one comment

  • the golden rays of the afternoon sun as it filters through the windows
  • At the end of Hot Yoga,  in the Savasana pose,  to become suddenly conscious of a cool breeze washing over me
  • sitting by the Harbourfront with a good book, listening to music on my Sennheisers
  • elicit nighttime art projects
  • Sitting at Tim Horton’s in the middle of the night, playing iphone games and gossiping
  • the daily crosswords at work
  • pulling the car precariously to a stop every time a store looked like it sold bikes
  • secret escape hand signals
  • blackberry-ing everything from GPS locations to theremins
  • cranium, settlers, rockband
  • Chess, charades, crosswords and mermen at Wasaga Beach
  • biking to a friend’s garden, harvesting ripe tomatoes and basil and eating them with olive oil and balsamic vinegar in the Vic Quad
  • ice cold beer, nachos and ice cream at the Harbourfront, and catching up for six hours
  • Watching the sun set on the St. Lawrence, stretched out on lawn chairs, feet dangling over the water at high tide
  • walking home after a night of dancing, heels in hand, looking forward to raiding the fridge (and whispering english into the dark of the night)
  • going on an adventure to rent bikes, but ending up eating poutine and taking random photos instead.
  • disregarding plans to go out, only to watch Twilight with Rifftrax commentary on a fold-out cot in a dormitory room at Laval
  • nautical gear and all things nautical
  • whale watching in a Zodiac
  • exploring the unbelievably beautiful rocky shores in Tadoussac
